Another reason to is console friendliness. They can't drop what a true American map would look like since most are 4x or 16x, not console friendly. Imagine if Mappers Paradise actually made Welkers or Millennial properly, console wouldn't have it. So blame the consoles in a way too, since no one else is gonna say it.
If you wanna know the last time an American map was a DLC, look back at FS2013, and that was Westbridge Hills. We're overdue for one, but what sells more, American DLC or more Euro content? *cough cough* could make a Canadian map next, just a suggestion.
