Sugar Beet Yield
Sugar beets or potatoes is all I lack to sustain pigs without buying food so I am curious, what's the yield like on these? I am trying to figure out how many acres I need to plant to sustain a medium possibly large pig enclosure. TIA for any information.

The yield from sugarbeet and potato is very high compared to other fruitTypes. Potato yield is 4.13 liters per square meter while sugarbeet yield is 5.78 liters per square meter. To compare wheat yield is 0.89 liters per square meter. A small to moderate field is enough to supply pig food needs. I would suggest getting the new field calculator from the Modhub. It provides data on seed, fertilizer and other needs per field.

Potatos can also be self-sustaining if you keep some of your harvest on the side, because potatos can also be planted with potatos instead of seeds.

I thought about those at first but decided on sugar beets because the excess can be turned into sugar at a production point.
