Price for a sim? This is not a AAA title
I do love the farm sims and invested a lot of time in the last version of this game but I am Just wondering about the price of this game, its not a "triple A game"...its a sim, seems a bit steep for that.

LOL :steammocking:

FS19 is an awesome game If you don't wan't to pay for FS22 you can still play that!

The price is fine I've bought it for the PC and for the PS4/5.
Stop crying if you don't like the price continue playing FS19.

The price is set by the market. Giant wants to sell- you are interested to buy. Complaining about the price makes no sence anyway. You don´t go to Mercedes complaining about the price of a new S-Class because you already had the previous model. What you will get with FS22:

- better graphics
- better sounds
- new vehicles
- new maps
- new crops
- global company included
- seasons included
- working gearboxes
- new options of tillage like gathering stones etc.

Perhaps more.

There are people working at Giants who earn their money with creating all that stuff- they don´t do that for free. What triple A games cost and which quality you can expect for this much money we could see as Cyberpunk has been released.. I´m no fanboy but I think I will play at least 2.000 hours in FS22 which I already exceeded in FS19.

uh what?
What does AAA and simulation have to do with each other? simulation is a genre and AAA a classification.
You're telling me Microsoft Flight Simulator is not a AAA product?

Inform yourself on what AAA means.

And yes Farming Simulator is worth the price more than most "AAA" games out there... *looking at you Cyberpunk 2077 and Battledump 2042*

Personally I work on a £1 per hour basis. If I spend more than 70 hours on the game, then It has cost me lest than £1 per hour. There's not much else I can do that would keep me as entertained for such a low price. It seems like a lot of money until i look at it like that.

the price of the game was 5 times cheaper before its release, ♥♥♥♥ them, will wait a decent price.

i think you are comparing apples and oranges imo i dont know of any AAA game that you would spend 1k+ plus hours on so even taking the base game + the year pass which is £70 and most AAA games are that for just the base game excluding any dlc packs then farm sim works out about 7p per hour i dont know of any other game that gives you that much playability out the box i think the only game im even close to 1k hours other than farm sim is rust and its not a AAA game either.

for example i have about 42 hours + on farcry 6 and im already bored with it and the ultimate edition is nearly £100 i didnt pay that cause i knew i would get bored with it so paid £13 on + to play it for a month if i had paid full price for it, it would have worked out about £2.38 per hour so when you break it down on how many hours of fun/entertainment farm sim is actually worth more than any AAA title technically i would quite happily pay £100 for fs + a year of dlc as i know i will get my moneys worth out of it.

There's plenty of AAA titles that aren't worth $60.

Seems like most AAA games are $69.99 + now.. This game is cheap compared to that. Plus AAA or not matters not at all. What matters is if the game is fun, that is all.
Agent707 Nov 6, 2021 @ 8:36pm
Who cares how many A's you want to give a title..(pun intended).

Considering I have almost 600 hours in fs19 (many have many thousands), 50 bucks is a bargain man! BARGAIN!
Yea, I'm pretty good at math (more intended puns there.... lol) :D

£39 is a good price imo. most games are £45-60 these days anyway

For this genre of game Giants is basically a AAA studio for how much they've grown community wise, popularity and for how much work they put into their games. Anymore i'd rather play the latest Farming from them over a game like Call of Duty.
coolfarmer Nov 12, 2021 @ 10:39pm
Allright, so don't buy it? lol
Alfschumi Nov 12, 2021 @ 11:37pm
If you cant spend 50€ on a game dont play games, go to scool
Azorees Nov 13, 2021 @ 12:06am
??? Not a AAA game , Just because its a sim does not mean its not a AAA Title. AAA games are made by well established developers , just because its a sim does not mean its not a AAA title.

AAA games can cost anywhere from £50 to £70 on PC and Console so explain why paying £34.99 for a game with 1 DLC included is not worth the money.

Will you put more than 35 hours into the game ? i work out on games by the hours i would play it and i know for a fact i will play it a lot more than 35 hours so basically that's less than £1 per hour for my entertainment.

For me £34.99 is a very reasonable price for the quality of the game, no one is forcing you to buy it.
If you don't like the price don't buy it and stick with FS19 it's as simple as that, no need to start crying about the price of a top quality game that has a unique playerbase .
