Is it possible to convert/load/import FS19 Maps into FS22?
Hi,

I've been playing on Ravenport for a bit and I was wondering if I could use this map with FS22? Will it load/does it need conversion or is it not possible?

Cheers,

Xine

For somebody who has no experience with mapping in FS, no. It's absolutely impossible. And a vanilla map from the game is also not open for free usage.

The vanilla maps in the game are open and avaible to edit for anyone, the only content that is locked is the dlc content

You're correct. Thought about the wrong map. But still. Without any knowledge, no way to do what OP asked for.

Why would you want to continue that map in FS22? I think Elmcreek would offer a much better experience.

should be fairly easy for those with experience just a case of using the giants editor to update the map and maby add a few new things to it

Thanks for the answers. I'm still a bit of a newbie to Farming Simulator and this was the only map I've played so far and put a lot of hard work in terraforming and adding loads of stuff to it, so quite attached to it really - it's like my baby ha ha

These changes have more to do with the savegame, than the actual map. With the changes to terraforming it's questionable if an old savegame will work. FS22 maps are way more interestingly crafted. If you see those you'll probably won't go back.

Yeah true. So as a step up to practice, what map would people recommend to someone that has the basics, but still needs to learn stuff?

You mean which map would be good for a beginner in FS 22. Honestly all of them. They are created in a way that you can do what ever you want. Want to start from scratch with nothing but some money. You can absolutely do that and do, what you did in Ravenport. Terraforming works fine on all maps, you can combine fields to make them bigger and build your own farm!

If you'd rather have an easier start, you can always begin with an existing, little farm and some machines. You learn everything while actually playing, and there is no game mechanic that you have to be afraid of. And if you're really struggling, the forum is always there for you.
