How to Save?

I have no idea how to save this game and I've been trying to look online for hours. Anyone have any luck with this?

Out of interest... for those of you who can't seem to save your game, are there any non-English letters in your Windows profile name? Some games won't save correctly unless your profile name (again, for Windows, not Steam) is entirely in English.

Don’t own the game as of yet, but is there anyone at all who has successfully saved their game? Because if not it may be due to it being a much older game so where it saves it’s files may be one of the directories that Windows has removed our ability to access which means it can write the saves but not read them later.

May not be the case but it’s a suggestion of what the issue may be.

Yes, the game saves normally now. I've just tested it multiple times to be sure. Just exit the game normally by clicking the green light on Hawkin's vest and the game will autosave.

Don't know how to save either.
Also: I clicked on the log book or diary or whatever that notebook is ... and now I can't leave that screen anymore.

No, it has not been fully fixed. It is still an issue and I lost all my progress from yesterday.

always self backup saves if there is a known problem
