Back in the Dark Ages, bloodletting was an acceptable method to treat various ailments. But times have changed.
Likewise, UEFI BIOS and how modern Windows interacts with it is different from BIOS and older versions of Windows which operated entirely separately and had no direct interactions with each other via a security interface.
go back to the 90's
yes the computer will work BUT this is a new CPU generation with NEW functions and the BIOS needs a update to support them.
BIOS updates are a essential need since more than 10 years btw. security updates, tpm updates, CPU power adjustment, performance and functions updates, encryption updates, ram setup and stability updates.
it is insane that laymans like you think they know something because they have heared or read somewhere absolutely outdated things without even knowing computer basics.
will you please help me?
I'm sorry, man, but trying to help you could damage my intellect.
The previous chat with you was enough of a psychological stress test for me.
I have analyzed and resolved similar issues with much younger and much older users, but with you I feel unable to bring it to an end.
I bought a literal USB-stick for $40 and have no idea what to do with it now as I have no one’s help.
You were the one who reached out to me, you befriended me and offered help. How are you just gonna leave me hanging?
I don’t even understand what it was I said that was so ”dumb”. And it’s always better to ask dumb questions than to ask none. I’m not gonna take any risks when it comes to my $3000 pc, so yes, I might ask some questions you deem stupid, but I also have no experience in pcs.
I have no experience with pcs, so how are you, someone who has 39 years of experience with pcs gonna be so judgemental towards me. It’s unfair, man.
And it is not justified of you to insult me. You said 10 year olds understood better than me the other day, indirectly calling me stupid. Saying ”it’s just the truth” doesn’t justify it.
how about my suggestion that it is just normal shader compilation that is causing the stutter.. do you find that if you stay in the same area in-game, the stutter improves?
yea i feel like i get more stutters in new areas
Longer stutters (2-3+seconds) could indicate another problem.
stutters are not normal in any form.
I actually fixed every stutter and lag…
The problem was that ”CPU 0” was enabled in
”Set affinity” for Elden Ring in Task manager.
Basically, AntiCheat makes it so you can’t make any changes in ”Set affinity” nor ”Set priority” for Elden Ring in Task Manager. So, first I needed to download a mod that disables AntiCheat. Then, I was able to turn CPU 0 off in ”Set Affinity”.
This is the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen and can’t believe I had to do this in order to get rid of the lag. And all this time I thought my PC was broken or something.
I basically means, the CPU0 gets used, while other processes also use it and CPU0 bottlenecks. Usually the scheduler should prevent, that one core gets overused
Could still be a problem with outdated BIOS or AMD chipset drivers. I don't think it's normal behavior for 9800X3D and B650.
I saw a video with half million views tho on YouTube explaining this, so I can’t be the only one experincing it.
