If you are wanting a different look I get it. But as far as capability/suitability goes, Land of Reeds can carry you for a long time.
can it carry me through first walkthrough? or should I be changing to something else at which point in game?
Biggest weakness of this set is low poise, but you're a samurai dammit and your intelligent and deft movement is your poise.
I think you should consider changing it when you can put together a set with over 50 poise. Until then, I go for the poison and rot resistance.
