why are fromsoft fans so toxic

I've seen from lots of threads (especially the steam forums) where people will provide actual valid criticism to this game, and a lot of replies will say something along the lines of git gud.

example: saw a dude saying why Godfrey is his most disliked boss in the game.
one guy, one singular guy out of 30 people actually tried to help him. almost every other comment was either git gud or not contributing to the post at all.

I just wanna know why is almost everyone so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ toxic?

To be more fair about the git gud you think is a troll when it's NOT :
For exemple i never played mage, but in ER magic spell are pretty so why not on my 10 run. Endgame bosses shreded me into pieces i was like * hell no wtf * BUT i didn't used any of my arsenla, and when i did i was like * hell yeah i have to play like that * So i applied the * GIT GUD * to myself simply and used the tools i had. TADAM.

No, just something silly that gets bandied about by people that don't think about what they are saying. Maybe avoid using it as a pejorative. Some of the dumbest people I know went to university and some of the most intelligent people that I know didn't. I graduated Magna ♥♥♥ Laude and it still doesn't give me any authority or expertise in a discussion about Elden Ring because I didn't get a degree in playing video games or discussion board moderation. If you don't think it is on topic and shouldn't be discussed then maybe leave it out of your screed next time.

Project-reflect is a coping strategy. I often try to point out the metaphysical reality of this to pacify those I am sure can do better and be better. This is self-destructive, but the point - to me, anyways - should be to rebuild afterward with a clearer understanding of self and others. The point should not be to receive dopamine hits for causing stress in others.

Stress kills. It's thanks to a hormone gland in our brains that pushes the stuff whenever we feel or think certain things. Any communication with another person is a truly volatile or fragile thing at times, but focus on how to use that for some constructive purpose. It is an immutable characteristic of society, after all - no small outrage or rebellion will change it.

I think the subtext has passed you by. Again, I said something triggering. I admit it, and didn't realize that I needed to write an essay fully explaining what I meant so as not to be misinterpreted this excessively. I will not fuel your tirade on the matter, regardless, because as you said, uni-education is not the sole reflection of intellect.

git gud transcended into meme status pretty quickly, so it has several applicable meanings - kinda tone/context-dependent, easy to type, and rapidly dismisses anything said by somebody else. Multi-purpose meme
