Shadow of the Erdtree might be GOTY?!

Just wonder if anyone else has heard about it, but apparently the TGA are now allowing DLC's and expansions to be nominated. Read about it on FB and Tech4Gamers, but... It would be damn cool if this game-doubling expansion won big then.

Thats is correct! But honestly? I dont give a ♥♥♥♥ because i know they are not going to include Wukong AT ALL......As much i would love Shadow of the Erdtree to get GOTY i know just a bunch of GaEm JoUrNoS (AKA as jabronies) will be the ones deciding if Veilguard or Starfield expansion becomes the next GOTY.

I will still watch the ceremony, to discover new games and pre-order interesting stuff.

Uhmmmm.... nah, Starfail is a catastrophe and Veilguard at best middling. BG3 and Elden Ring won big time despite the corporate interests. I don't see Black Myth: Wukong as GOTY material though, but I am glad if you like it. Personally find it too grindy and tedious.

Different strokes for different folks! Dont want to turn your respectable thread into a Wukong discussion but after squeezing it to get everything the game has to offfer i consider it art. This comes from a dude playing since forever who already enjoyed some "Whoa" moments from Lands Of Lore 2 cinematic quality, God of War 1 Kratos VS Ares final fight, Shadow of the Colossus, God of War 3 tutorial and final fight to Wukong real boss.....That fight is the most impressive final boss encounter of gaming history!

Back to the main topic! I used those two games as a joke.....But i have little or no faith left at all in the people deciding which game will be GOTY. Shadow of The Erdtree was amazing but is just more Elden Ring awesomeness, i would prefer Space Marine 2 or even the incoming in 4 days Stalker 2 as GOTY (if the game rocks....).

Yeah, I think it's extremely dumb to allow dlcs in the ''GAME of the year'' category. They should've just made a dlc category.

Either way it shouldn't have a chance. imo FF7 Rebirth and Stellar Blade were much better than ER's dlc.

Thing is the event is pretty stupid in the first place, most of the jury is full of garbage gaming journalism companies. I wouldn't be surprised if dragon age veilguard somehow manages to win lmao

Gonna have to disagree with that assessment, respectfully. Stellar Blade is a good game, but nowhere near the same level of quality as SotET. And FF7 Rebirth ♥♥♥♥♥ on the original masterpiece classic imo. Even the Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door remake does it better. But we'll see.

FF7 Rebirth doesn't ♥♥♥♥ on anything. It's better than the original in every possible aspect and has as much content as the entirety of elden ring + an actual story.

Stellar Blade is not only on the same level of quality as ER's dlc but actually significantly more polished and better designed. The only real downside is that a lot of the side quests are boring fetch quests but they are completely optional and ER's dlc has many more flaws.

I say this as someone that likes ER(the whole package) more than both of these games but ER's dlc on it's own is not enough to be better than either I'm sorry. Obviously in the end everyone can like whatever they want.
