Can someone explain pots to me?
I don't understand why they bother adding so many pot and jar varieties if they're just going to give you like 5 containers for them across your whole playthrough. Why make them so rare when they barely do half a common mob's health in damage?

you use them, and craft them again... what exactly you dont understand?

they are reusable, you get the empty pots back to craft more after throwing them

5 hefty flasks? More like 10.....and as said above they are reusable. Also the old pots are still needed for eternal sleep and more.

If you are missing some check Fextra or a Youtube video for their locations.

I never used them or perfumes because I thought they where only usable once... I thought they where something that you used for a very tough fight or something like that.
After I beat the game I found out you can reuse them... I feel silly...

Same here, skyrim turned me into a consumable hoarder and I will never recover

there 10 hefties, 10 rituals, and 20 regular

They do insane damage with low fp cost if you build your stats for them, but better yet, you need no investment to get insane damage from building status affect building pots. And you get the pot back after you throw the crafted one. So you can keep crafting. The only thing you need to farm for are the other materials

They're a solid reusable consumable for whatever you need at the time. You can get around 7 or 8 normal pots on the way out of Limgrave without much scouring.
There's no investment outside of the ingredients and the right pot in the right face can trivialise certain fights.

you farm the pots in the pots gaols right?

"This empty pot somehow mends itself when broken." -Cracked Pot description, implying as said above, they are reusable infinitely
