Explain bleed logic
can somebody explain how bleed stacks/diminishes? I was testing on Greyoll with Raptor Talons(60 bleed) and Arcane Great katana with Repeating Thrust(101 bleed).

First i determined how fast bleed passively diminishes. About 7-8 points in second
Wiki says Greyoll have 627 bleed resistance. She bleeds in 10 consecutive R1 of Talons, that's 16 hits stacking 960 bleed. Combo takes 6 second so naturally 60*16 - 6sec*7passivepointloss PerSec=918
With Great Katana bleed occurs in 8 R1, which takes 8 seconds. 101*8 - 8sec*7ppl PerSec=752. Or 2 times Ash of War+1 R1 hit, so 9 hits in total this time, which takes 6 seconds. 909-42=867

HOW TF DOES BLEED WORKS? And after first proc on the same enemy it takes even longer for another proc. All i wanted is to make super optimized bleed build for helping with bosses but now stuck with this confusion

You hit the thing -> it bleeds to death. No confusion there.

I know if you are dual wielding status weapons their status application gets a nerf but I don't know if that applies to a single weapon that is twinned

they made it so enemies gain more resistance to status every time it procs on them

It doesnt explains whay Great Kata procs in 8 hits. With this math in should in 7. 707 - 50~ppl PerSec= ~657>627 of Greyoll's resist

I think you are trying to make sense in numbers that barely work in the elden ring spaghetti code. However if you just ignore the calculations and just be happy with „arcane high - bleed gud“ i think the confusion would be no matter. Its just a stupid lot to think about here and why bother? Its not like you have to squeeze out every drop of bleed proc in your build.

ahh, another person who has no idea how coding works and blames it on "Spaghetti Code".

You build up Bleed on the target. The build-up reaches the magic point. It pops and does a big spike of damage (kinda like Madness) then resets and you gotta do more the next time.

I was originally weirded out because Bleed isn't DoT in Elden Ring, or at least not for enemies. Just they burst a blood vessel or something and there is just a big damage spike and then it is back to nothing.

Well it used to be a damage negative for a stamina debuff more or less
In Elden Ring it's a hyuge chunk of damage at least

use fists or dual trusting, curved swords , best bleed output , each bleed proc enemy get more resitant to bleed . i can sugest use frost and bleed combination which is fatal for some bosses

It works, I guess.... but I prefer more fire-and-forget type statuses.
I love the inherent cheekiness of firing a bunch of those black bolts that cause Scarlet Rot at an enemy... then just chilling out at a distance while its health just ticks down.

I love all of the play styles, I think it's what makes the game so great, so many types of game styles. I don't gate keep like a lot of people do, if you want to stand back and spam abilities that's awesome, it's like people who complain about certain guns in an FPS, they are in the game, use them!
