Oh no a game that you can play multiple times in multiple different ways to get multiple different items.
All of the quests can be completed by listening to NPCs, talking to NPCs, going back after a bit and talking to them again, reading item descriptions and so on.
As for missing stuff, oh well, play it again. Unless you really didn't enjoy the game enough for a second playthrough, in which case maybe you don't really need the items.
I!?I,OHLAD,S
etc.
I think they did a good job with Ranni's questline. The player is given enough information to get through the whole thing.
I think they did a bad job with Nepheli's quest line. The player has to do a bunch of unrelated tasks to complete it. None of which are explained. If I missed some vital piece of info here, feel free to correct me.
Some of the DLC quest lines are also very obtuse. Thiollier makes no mention of the item Moore located for him. You're just supposed to go back and forth between the two. Then you can use that item an a completely unrelated NPC without any indication to do this. And all of this is missable if the player just decides to explore the map. You know, one of the main things to do in an open world game. Explore! But if you explore too much, you've locked yourself out of some quests without even knowing.
