How I deal with twinks using DLC items in colosseum
For the uninitiated, a twink is someone who uses cheats to spawn in end-game gear or has a friend drop them the gear. They do this because it gives them an advantage over other players who are using gear appropriate to their level. Scummy, but there are no rules against it.

How I deal with them is simple: I AFK.

Over 3 hours, I played over 100 colosseum matches, and I would guess 8/10 players were twinks using DLC gear, while I was still using mid-level base game gear. When we spawned in, if I saw them using DLC gear, I gave them the point down gesture and opened youtube and AFK'd until they killed me. Then I would immediately do it again. Because the playerbase in my region is small, I kept getting matched with the same people every time, and I kept AFKing, to the point where some of them just Alt F4'd if they got back into a match with me.

However, when I did match with people using gear they're supposed to have access to, I'd give them a good fight.

Its not much but at the very least, by holding the twinks hostage in my matches, I can prevent them from ruining other respectable player's time.

lat f4 then look at last player list and block them thats about all you can do
Isn't there a system in place that matches people with similar weapon levels already?
If so, what exactly is the issue?

Have you seen some of the weapons and ashes of war available in the DLC? Some of them are incredibly busted. Backhand blade, swift slash, and claws of night are some of the worst offenders, and also happen to be what nearly everyone I verse uses. Maybe when more nerfs come, I'll give the twinks a break

Nah. A Twink is a boy-toy. A youthful butt-buddy. A legal shota. The choir boy to the catholic priest... in the event that he could be said to consent. The pseudo-underage homosexual bottom.

Miquella. Miquella is the twink.

I mean that is literally just what I call Miquella: The Twink.

Partly true,

Even though you'll encounter many players who others will give items to, even though you'll encounter even more players who will use mods to obtain items effortlessly, there will still be players who grind their way through the DLC to get items. to play in the arena.

by not playing the game you are as "bad” as the twink you are complaining about.
Which level is ur char?
Even if you actually went dlc at say lvl 15 and collected some stuff, and then participate in PvP or coop at low level, you are still a TWINK - even if you got all your stuff "legally". Twink is someone who uses high-end late-game gear at low levels no matter how they got it.

However. I myself have 3 low-level characters, 15, 20 and 25 Lvl, and they are all currently in the dlc. My lvl 15 guy is struggling against Leda and Allies but still.. You can beat Mohg and 3/4 of the DLC at low level kinda easily. (I am not a good player so everyone can do it, you only need the right setup and strategy). Half the OP dlc items can be found without fighting bosses and stuff at all. Mohg can be killed at lvl 1 easily, not to mention lvl 15.

It is not about twinking, it is about balancing. Base game has many weapons that are straight up OP at low and mid levels. Dragon halberd still oneshots. Antspur still rots. Rot pot and golem arrow dupers are still a menace. It is just so that when DLC came out, there were many good and op weapons (which was always the case with DLCs and is fine). However it has nothing to do with dlc being inacessible to low-level people. In fact, it is the easiest Souls dlc to acess for low-level people EVER besides Ashes of Ariandel. You need to kill 2 (TWO) bosses from the start and voila, you are in the DLC: Kill Radahn to trigger Varre teleport to Mohg (you can trigger Radahn festival by going to Altus thru lift I think, which requires 0 bosses), kill Mohg. And you ARE IN THE DLC GARRY. If you do DTS (who can easily be cheesed by Poison mist if you are too weak to fight him), you can grab Mohg shackle which makes this fight even easier. If you kill any dragon boss to get Rotten breath (which makes all aforementioned encounters a breeze) it will be 4 bosses total FROM THE START OF THE GAME. If it is not your first playthrough and you know the game, the way to dlc is braindead easy.

DLC weapons are busted tho. My advice? Do DLC and get them yourself. There is some neat stuff that cannot be dropped too, like spells and items (Horned bairn is good at low levels). You won't even need a friend to carry you through the bosses if you know strats how to beat them.
Wow you big tough pvp people are sure fragile.
thats why elden ring pvp is horrible cause there exist people like that
Level 150 with scadufragments in dlc is easy to reach the new weapons lol
Get your own twink, PvP rules are reserved for yourself is sad to said but many people don't bother with it they just want win.
People can get to DLC area as lvl 1 without modding via cheese tactics.
Also if you collect the scadutree fragments you don't need levels, besides just having enough levels to equip stuff.
Also I thought the enemy levels were dynamic, thus why you need the scadutree fragments, I was lvl 400 in ng1 and they melted me when they hit me, and to bosses I did basically nothing with max upgraded weapons without any fragments.

My twink is lvl 60, and it is not hard to go through the game and obtain 4 talisman slots, any armor, weapons, AoW or dlc gear at all. Star fist + endure, bolts with scarlet rot, poison or bleed is all you need to progress through the game and obtain all the broken sh*t.
You can get Claw of Night simply by running around the map and fighting only 1 NPC that you need to fight to get the weapon (which is easy). Swift Slash is obtainable the same way. You can easily do this, because the game is open world. You don't even need to fight Hippo or Relanna to get this AoW and the claw (crazy, right?).

No, actually that's not what a Twink is:

Twink:
In massively multiplayer online role-playing games, or MMORPGs, twinking refers to a character gaining equipment with the assistance of a higher level character, particularly by giving the low-level character higher level equipment that is otherwise unattainable.[2][3][4] It can also be used to describe the process of keeping a video game character at a low level while using in-game currency, earned by a high-level character, to provide it with superior equipment.

Someone being well-geared is not a twink. Someone going into the endgame content, getting the shards and equipment is well-geared and not some twink.

Except that's exactly what 99% of the people with "well-geared" characters do by transfering items through coop.

Someone who has to rely on OP late-game items as a crutch to win in PvP isn't someone who has the skill to clear end-game content to get the gear legitimately.

Hell you can see people asking for end-game items daily on this forum.
