How I deal with twinks using DLC items in colosseum
For the uninitiated, a twink is someone who uses cheats to spawn in end-game gear or has a friend drop them the gear. They do this because it gives them an advantage over other players who are using gear appropriate to their level. Scummy, but there are no rules against it.

How I deal with them is simple: I AFK.

Over 3 hours, I played over 100 colosseum matches, and I would guess 8/10 players were twinks using DLC gear, while I was still using mid-level base game gear. When we spawned in, if I saw them using DLC gear, I gave them the point down gesture and opened youtube and AFK'd until they killed me. Then I would immediately do it again. Because the playerbase in my region is small, I kept getting matched with the same people every time, and I kept AFKing, to the point where some of them just Alt F4'd if they got back into a match with me.

However, when I did match with people using gear they're supposed to have access to, I'd give them a good fight.

Its not much but at the very least, by holding the twinks hostage in my matches, I can prevent them from ruining other respectable player's time.

what is your rune level and weapon level?

usually twinking is discussed in the context of low and mid level invasions where an invader with end game gear is invading pve'ers who have not progressed far enough into the game to get the same kind of late game gear. typically people dont consider this kind of stuff for arena matches, where both players are seeking a pvp duel and are not progressing thru the game. i have not done any low or mid level arena matches in ER, but from what i recall in ds3, twinking was never even an issue that was brought up in the arena.

We don’t know the OP’s char level though, if he is 100+ he already matches with meta-levels where many stop levelling, so no gear is really surprising or unexpected there.

I don't think a Twink really care about people pointing them out. Twinking is just a form of griefing, it's not serious play.

It's best to just block if you don't want to match against them, but at low levels, it's rare to find legit builds.

I have 3 characters at level 1 with un-upgraded weapons who have beat the main game completely and are working their way through the DLC. Not all players who have end game equipment did so by not playing the game. That said, I would never invade players in the early game with those characters and really don't understand people who do. I will, however, help co-op PvE early game players. Some of my favorite times in Elden Ring are helping players beat Morgott & Godrick with Scarlet Aeonia & helping early game players clear Limgrave dungeons rocking a Golden Order Greatsword.

It's fun for a few months after the game releases, but then you get constant invasions by white masks spamming rivers of blood and so on. The fact is, the majority of players who play a few months after release are probably mostly the "die hard" fans who have already seen it all and don't really need a ton of help, either way.

That said, colosseum (and PvP) in general in this game has always been painfully uninteresting to me, but the thing about Elden Ring is, almost all weapons are viable. It doesn't matter if they have night claws or rivers of blood, you can deal with them pretty effectively if you really invest the time into learning PvP, even with early game equipment. Either you enjoy PvP or you don't, and part of enjoying PvP means learning how to deal with a multitude of tactics, including healing, rivers, light rolling, spell spam, etc. That's just part of the game.

I would not need to get DLC items but if twinking is lvl 50 then it definitely is possible to get to DLC, dont face 1 single boss and get the items...

Also why tf you low lvl at colosseum is a good question..
If you get to colosseum at lvl 90 to 120 a lot of that would be avoided by simply having late game weapons yourself (including DLC weapons).

They just got annihilated by twinks and also are bad at PvP (probably at PvE too) and want to pay back at randoms by twinking.

How many "Help with Mogh/Morgott/Radagon/Malenia/<insert any mid to late game boss or DLC boss> I am low lvl" topics we saw at the forum through the years and at every single Souls game?

Like, literally, it is people that are not good enough, if you try to help you see the person itself can barely dodge anything or just run away as soon as getting aggro-ed and that is it.
Many create topics on the forum and delete the topic as soon as possible to avoid having the topic on forum, happened a few times recently that after I beaten the boss or helped beating the boss the topic vanished, I can only guess why is that . . . (hidding proof under the carpet for no one else to see their requests).
