usually twinking is discussed in the context of low and mid level invasions where an invader with end game gear is invading pve'ers who have not progressed far enough into the game to get the same kind of late game gear. typically people dont consider this kind of stuff for arena matches, where both players are seeking a pvp duel and are not progressing thru the game. i have not done any low or mid level arena matches in ER, but from what i recall in ds3, twinking was never even an issue that was brought up in the arena.
It's best to just block if you don't want to match against them, but at low levels, it's rare to find legit builds.
It's fun for a few months after the game releases, but then you get constant invasions by white masks spamming rivers of blood and so on. The fact is, the majority of players who play a few months after release are probably mostly the "die hard" fans who have already seen it all and don't really need a ton of help, either way.
That said, colosseum (and PvP) in general in this game has always been painfully uninteresting to me, but the thing about Elden Ring is, almost all weapons are viable. It doesn't matter if they have night claws or rivers of blood, you can deal with them pretty effectively if you really invest the time into learning PvP, even with early game equipment. Either you enjoy PvP or you don't, and part of enjoying PvP means learning how to deal with a multitude of tactics, including healing, rivers, light rolling, spell spam, etc. That's just part of the game.
Also why tf you low lvl at colosseum is a good question..
If you get to colosseum at lvl 90 to 120 a lot of that would be avoided by simply having late game weapons yourself (including DLC weapons).
How many "Help with Mogh/Morgott/Radagon/Malenia/<insert any mid to late game boss or DLC boss> I am low lvl" topics we saw at the forum through the years and at every single Souls game?
Like, literally, it is people that are not good enough, if you try to help you see the person itself can barely dodge anything or just run away as soon as getting aggro-ed and that is it.
Many create topics on the forum and delete the topic as soon as possible to avoid having the topic on forum, happened a few times recently that after I beaten the boss or helped beating the boss the topic vanished, I can only guess why is that . . . (hidding proof under the carpet for no one else to see their requests).
