Parring consort Radahn in co-op is bugged?

So, I tried to help some ppl with this boss and it just feels off. I personally beat this bossby parring him, but when I try to parry him in the exact same moment as I did when I fought him solo - it just doesn't work and I get hit instead.
But when I do it earlier than I should it works(and still not constantly)
Is it due to netcode problems or what?

pretty sure co-op is just like this, bad networking
have also parried him to death but in co-op feels ass

Just like PvP, I try to swing where the enemy actually is and not where it shows them. :P

u should bear lag in mind, pretty sure its because of that
