i just recently finished the DLC using mimic and it was incredible easy.
mimic is extremly op even in dlc...
what is likley to happen in your fight is that boss aggroes you
you run away -> boss runs behind you -> mimic runs behind boss....
like 3 guys running away all in same direction x---> y----> z
It seems like the spirit's aggro level has a timed decay, so any spirit not consistently generating fresh aggro will lose it. So spirits that are too defensive, slow, or evasive will tend to let the boss suddenly switch back to you quite regularly.
Some spirit attacks seem not to generate any aggro now too. For example Tiche's ranged attack, I routinely watch a boss take it in the face then ignore it and continue going after me.
And yes, the DLC bosses definitely revert their aggro to the player more quickly than those of the base game. The trick I mentioned above though should bring that to an end.
You're welcome. Happy gaming.
