For the love Marika, please level up your Shadow Blessings' through your Scadutree Fragments. It makes it so much easier for you and your summons.


For Context:
I encountered Rellana when my character was at level 4 Scadu Blessings and died probably in 4 hits unless it's a special attack. Now I'm at Scadu Blessing level 7 and take probably 5 or 6 normal attacks.

So I decide to place my sign down to help others beat the boss, and so I can learn how to fight Rellana better only to find everyone that summons me to die in 2 hits. When in your world I die from roughly 3 normal hits, in my world 5 or 6. That's a massive difference. I've read so many discussions about how difficult the dlc is, co-op hosts dying in two hits, and thought it was pure exaggeration, but its actually true.

My Blackflame character is at level 196, so its not like the people who summon me are tryhards who are purpose playing with a weaker Scadu Blessed character either.


In conclusion level up your Scadu Blessings, unless your goal is to continuously to brute force your way through a content like it's a unbreakable brick wall... That is all I guess, thanks for reading, and always remember to play smarter, not harder unless you're looking for challenge.

When I realised they had added a Sekiro-esque level system that only applies in the Shadow Realm I decided to use that instead of further levelling. This way I can stay at my preferred range for hosts to summon while being able to play the expansion at all.
