I didn't cheat!
I didn't cheat, but the game says I cheat. Now I can't play the game anymore. I've tried verifying the integrity of the game files, uninstalling the game, re-downloading, shutting down the computer and restarting the computer, and so on, but none of them worked. So what can i do now?

Do you really think that IF you cheated, the steps you took would solve the problem?!

modding is the same for the anti cheat system and that will also ban you, cant do anything
did you really really not cheat? pinky promise?

no cheating or modding was the cause

the windows 11 update for stack protection got installed in background caused that the EAC service got disabled during running the game > inappropiate activity detected > after this 30005 /1275.

problem is solved now by deactivating the kernel stack protection.

i was just about that say that

unlike you, i contacted him and chatted with him directly. Error 30005 / 1275 was the error message he was currently getting, which obviously has something to do with the kernel stack protection update. It was then possible to reconstruct how the inappropriate activity detected message came about and a solution was implemented.

he can play again and your opinion of his origin is thus exposed for what it is.

Did you use any mods but went online with them active? EAC sees that as no different than cheating. To EAC doesn't matter if they're harmless cosmetic mods, it doesn't care and will ban you regardless.

People on the internet have faith in the systems put in place by developers to combat cheaters. They think it is fool proof. IF someone says that the system does not work (either that there are a lot of cheaters or that someone was wrongfully banned) they see that someone as the enemy.

Why they trust the system so much, I don't understand. We saw extreme examples of cheating time and time again. CSGO, Battlefield, Lost Ark, WOW, GTA V. They still have faith in the anti cheat system even after g0at's video about Tarkov went viral recently. I know, different game, different anti cheat bla bla bla. Both EAC and Battle Eye are just as bad at their job. The point is that cheaters are everywhere and the system does not work.

TLDR: They have blind faith in the anti cheat system. If you even imply it doesn't work, you are their enemy.

did you rollback, restore, or duplicate save files to do stuff like item duping or getting multiple endings on one playthru? that kind of stuff has been safe in the past but ive heard a few anecdotal reports of bans from doing stuff like that.

Thats been safe to do since ds1, what they dont like if you roll back save from a couple weeks earlier, most tell porky pies on how they received their bans

We're locking this thread as it has devolved into non-productive argument. Thanks for your understanding.
