Every Invader is a cheater

How is co-op possible when EVERY person invading in the beginning area is a pathetic cheater with a private profile? Makes it REALLY hard to enjoy this game.

Yea I can see why you'd feel that way, I see the other side as a invader. It feels like a good 95% of account are private or "has yet to be set up" but truthfully its way lower.

Do you mean the use of cheats during the game or builds made with CE ?

It's twink builds invading you. Best way is get above the state level as fast as you can. Get a friend to drop some runes if possible and get to 50 min for twink invaders.

Play how you want mate gave you best advice but listen to op above and you will continue to hate this great game. Their is the coop mod at nexus mods so you won't be invaded by nasty little red men

summon friends and when someone invades do NOT fight them one on one because they are likely to be far tougher than you, if your friends abandoned you, run from the invader.
Or just summon friends for boss fights.
They aren't likely cheaters, they are just good hardworking folks that went way into the game with a low level player.
I have a rune lvl 11 with +1 weapons and all 4 talismon slots with many upper mid level talismons. I didn't cheat, I skilled the build and created backup saves in case I accidentally got a plus 8 weapon put in my inventory by an npc.

Some are like this player. Some get friends to drop them best gear and help them all the way to what's needed to then return to destroy noobs. It's same in all ds games

if you're here just for the coop put on seamless. Using coop mean getting invaded, and at low level it's really not a fun thing, most users will not cheat, but use talismans and weapons they probably dropped via password instead of getting them legit, and these things have effect you cannot beat at low level

Ive prob only had about 3 cheaters in the 300 hours I have played. One last night was floating around not taking damage. Could of even been a netcode issue..

If you want co-op with out people invading check out seamless coop mod it's a simple drop and play

I think I'm at 1.2k or 1.3k hours and I have seen one(1) actual cheater so far.

While I don't doubt some twinks exist, they're not nearly so numerous in ER as they were in Dark 1 (Undead Burg still lives in infamy).

Co-op triggers the invasion mechanic, just like popping humanity or embers did in the earlier games. There's always a choice, and there's always a tradeoff; this is something you either need to accept, or get on with installing the Seamless mod.

Also worth noting that the privacy settings on a user's profile have nothing to do with whether or not they're a cheater; I've seen plenty of folks with multiple VAC bans with wide-open profiles. Post hoc error, red herring, etc.

I agree, i have encountered one cheater in particular who somehow keeps invading me in roundtable, Alberich or some ♥♥♥♥, how do you even invade in the roundtable hold, and he manages to do it while i'm alone, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ piece of ♥♥♥♥ anti cheat clearly FROM SOFT needs to fix their ♥♥♥♥.
