Grand Merchant Mod Online Compatibility
Hello, foul Tarnished(s).
I like my rock pots. I like PvP build experimentation. I like stat re-allocation.
Unfortunately, these things are frustratingly tedious (and in the latter case, playthrough limited) to perform [oh boy I sure do love running up and down a river picking up stones for 20 minutes].
I've found a mod called Grand Merchant that allows you to give yourself every item in the game in whatever number you want, and I was wondering if it was possible to boot it up offline, give myself crafting materials/larval tears, disable the mod, then boot up the changed savefile for online play without being swatted by the Hand of God (Miyaziki's 180-day ban). Any advice regarding this would be much appreciated.
Honestly, the fact that so many consumables were added to ER without any equivalent to DS3's ash system is mind-boggling.
Also, I know I could switch to Seamless Co-Op invasions, and thus not have to worry about online banning, but that's a lotta file work when I'm already decently content with vanilla combat.

Honestly idk about grand merchant, but cheat engine works like that just fine.

Of course. Just don't take any key items, spells or anything in cut content. Delete the mod before going back online to be sure.

as others have said, your method will be fine.

but i do think calling the seamless mod as someone how more work then what you are currently doing.

It should be fine. Just ensure your method of disabling EAC is consistent and to run the mod with Steam in offline mode. The latter prevents a random update from verifying game files and re-enabling your EAC.

im pretty sure its fine to use as long as you fully remove the mod before going online, but i strongly prefer just using cheat engine and would highly recommend it over a merchant mod. CE feels safer to me, and its easier, because there are no files to mess with or mods to install/uninstall, just launch the game offline with the offline launcher tool, fire up the program, and when youre done, close the game, close CE, and relaunch the game. CE also offers additional functionality that honest merchant does not, IMO the most important one being the ability to turn specific invasion zones on/off, so you can do stuff like prevent yourself from invading areas you dont want to invade, like boss fog areas, small caves, etc etc. opening up all bonfires is also a good one. a merchant mod is just more work for less functionality.

Can use the ragged armor tgat way?

you can obtain the ragged set with CE but i would advise against it, you can be banned if you have unobtainable items like ragged set, fias panties or rope frost pot, regardless of where you get them from, even if another player drops them for you and you didnt cheat or use any third party program at all. if you want to use the ragged set in pvp without getting banned, the only option is to play on seamless co-op.
