I love the cross naginata. I use two with a cold and bleed combo, and it is absolutely devastating.

You need different weapons to deal with different enemies. There is no best weapon.
for example here is my dex bd:
150 vagabond: 50 vigor, 23mind, 20endur, 20 str, 75 dex, 25 fai

Leda's Sword to deal with greatsword of damnation.

Dual keen iron greatsword jump attack + grease to deal with elite mob.

Blasphemous blade to deal with enemies weak to fire.

Greatsword of damnation to deal npc and invader.

Sacred relic sword to deal group of enemies.

Godslayer's greatsword for elite mob weak to fire.

Dual keen bandit curved sword+grease for boss.

Keen backhand sword for invader.

Hand of malenia for invader and jump.

Piercing fang keen great katane for elite mob and boss.

Spinning slash keen great katane for group of enemies and invader.

Dragon-hunter's great katana for dragon.

Rakshasa's great katana for npc.

Bolt of gransax to sniper

Spear of the impaler for npc and weak boss.

Giant hunt keen guardians swordspear for npc.

Halo scythe for who live in death.

Claws of night for invader

Bone bow for invader.

Pulley crossbow for invader and cheese some enemies.

my favorite dex weapon is haslow's petal whip

backhand blade it has a cool ashes of war you can dodge an attack and hit the boss at the same time literally made the dlc like a peace of cake...
also its accessible in the very beginning of the dlc

I'd say it depend on the build. Katanas and Hand of Malenia got a good scale from dex. But ultimatly for pure dex build, you'll go for Fangs/Fist.

Even Perfume Bottle scale on dex.

But my fav since the start of the game is the Nagakiba. You can either buff it with incantation or add Ash of War of your choice. Descent range for a katana. On keen enhancement you get a A scale or best choice is on quality enhancement which give you both B on dex and str scale.

A good nagakiba use for bloodloss is with Bloodflame Blade Incantation and Double Slash ash of war. The bloodloss act as a DoT and keep building for a short duration after the hit eith bloodflame blade. You get raw damages from Strenght and Dexterity plus the bloodflame blade that build the bloodloss. You can buff yourself with Flame Grant Me Strenght incantation, it will add damage since Bloodflame Blade is fire based.

Lightning infused Zwei, Keen infused Backhand blades and Claws of Night has served me well in the DLC. Keen infused Pata in pvp is quite nasty if you get invaded.

Edit Blood loss aside, thought i recommend these anyway.

I play with Moonveil because it pairs well with Night Comet. This allows me to build both a Melee and Magic and Ranged powerhouse with just DEX and INT as the main stats. Since Moonveil is a Katana, it also has the Unsheathe ability which automatically triggers the Melee and Magic attack of Moonveil. So massive damage. Buffs just add to the insult to the Bosses. :)

I've been having a lot of fun with the Falx. It doesn't have the highest bleed build up, but with the skill, Revenger's blade, you get many hits so bleed happens quite quickly. They are also curved swords and you can power stance them by two handing so you also get good jump attack.

The backhand blade is also another good one with bleed. It was really good in PvE with swift slash, but with recent changes I've been liking blind spot a lot more. Personally I like them a lot more with keen infusion and then going with greases.

Both these play really well with multi hit talisman's and thorny cracked tear.

You wrote exactly how I felt playing the game. The nagakiba is truly a goat weapon and S tier in every way and then bloodflame blade enhances it. I used the ash of war maybe called double slash or whatever makes the character spin twice and hit twice in a upward tornado like fashion. It was pretty quick and cheap on fp.

But blood Tax or seppuku is amazing when paired with the varre mask and other talismans and buffs like howl of shabiri. Bloodhound fang is way harder hitting but I just don't love the weapon as much as others do but it's just a preference thing.

Also OP, I'd argue hand of Melania is not that great. I love the look of the ash of war but I don't find it strong at high levels and somber katanas I just think are worse than infused ones.

My favorites are keen hookclaws with quickstep + bloodflame blade or blood grease, I keep a light load so I can roll away to heal or buff and use quickstep to dodge while staying close for rapid attacks/bleed buildup.

And keen guardian swordspear, ash of war depends on situation but ice spear is amazing, also use sacred blade (for skeletons and death birds), beast roar (when i want long range), and thunderbolt (for abductor virgins).
