Melee is out of the question if you use light weapons
but try two handed Cold Flamberge or Cold Celebrant's Skull
and you will break their stance and kill them with no problem.
Wtf?
I am puzzled as well.
Loretta's Greatbow may not be top tier sorcery but it has its uses.
Such as to snipe enemies while crawling...
But you are aware that you can literally snipe enemies with the greatbow spell from far away, and they don't even reach you before they die? The comet is also great to melt down some of the knight enemies, but requires you to be much closer.
I agree Comet is overall better spell.
But that doesn't make Greatbow automatically "one of the worst spells".
It has long range that makes it great for sniping from far away.
Maybe not as useful against shielded knights but far from one of the worst spells imho.
I mentioned the spell because that's exactly what I did with it with my mage - snipe those knights in Leyndell. I also found it very useful on the Haligtree.
Why is there an argument about this? Why does there need to be an argument about everything? Why immediately go "ignore this troll advice about the worst spell"?
I literally used the spell there and it was useful.
It's okay...
