How many hefty furnace pots does it take?

How many does it take to take one out? I killed 3 so far and now trying to kill the fourth, but it won't go down. I can get it down once, hitting his feet over and over using torrent to stay over the fires, but his face is not accesible, so you throw in hefty pots in his furnace top, I can make 7, throw them all in and he still stands up having over 70% HP in his bar, what the actual F. How?

Find more pieces of the decadence tree, the damage will increase, and everything will work out

you mean scadutree pieces? I'm already past level 13, so it's kind of pointless to level it further. besides that, three others have been felled with more ease at the same scadutree bonfire level.

That huge mace turned out to be useless in this matter. Took it out with a zweihander and that went much better. Plus after the first three staggers his face was accesible, making it a lot easier. Not a single hefty pot used.

It takes three Hefty Furnace Pots to kill a Furnace Golem. And it must be a Hefty Furnace Pot, not a Hefty Fire Pot (those require more).

Source: I killed all but two Furnace Golems in NG at RL1, +0 weapon upgrades, and +0 Scadutree Blessing.

its three hefty furnace pots, but it only worked for me with the furnace golems that got the armored legs, the other ones i had to kill just by staggering

Kind of contradicts that even with 7 hefty furnace pots, mine didn't die. Thinking of never using one for pot for any furnace visage but the "dead" one that you "have" to revive to get entry to the church. Slaying them on torrent with a heavy sword works pretty well.

I've killed 2 furnace golems with hefty pots alone and it took 5 pots each, at least those with armor on their legs.

Hmm, max NG+ took me three to blew the Charo hidden grave wickerman.....

Other mats are all around the Shadowlands and some from the Twin Maide husks if you loot some of the expansion new bells.

Only one left to do, the one in ruins of rauh, trying to keep him on the water level, but most times for now every time he goes down his face is in the wrong elevation so no crit. That's pretty frustrating.

Yes you can farm the furnace visage item in front of the castle, but it's so tedious to do, I can only last for about half an hour to "farm" for them. But then I usually have about 3 or 4 of them.

Please fromsoft don't make us farm for these usefull items with such a low droprate. Furnace visage is becoming the arteria leaf of the dlc, and I don't like it.

From soft have you not found out ways to make things spawn into the world by now? Why are there no new flowers growing? Always in the same spots. No variation. That's not nature, thats planned seeding without randomness, called farming.

Seriously......I can understand the "farming" aversion some people have but come on, dude. In 10 minutes you can get enough furnace visages to craft 4 or 5 pots......

Fire bro is just a jumping simulator, with the exception of his armored cousins. Just wack his ankles until he falls, smack his face, then make a mad dash for the basket before he gets up, and toss a pot in. You have to smack his face before chucking the pot, or the damage won’t register.

The armored ones should take three to five pots, that’s on ng7. Not sure if the amount goes down in earlier ngs.

Just use pest threads on their legs at point blank range. No need for pots you only need two critical hits.

For the ones with armored lefts, you also don't need the furnace pots. The regular hefty fire pots work just as well.

Finally got that last one, when it's starting to stand up, throw a furnace pot in it for 52000 damage. Then stagger it three times like normal and hope the face is accesible, then it has only a sliver left in his HP bar. Attack the legs and before first stagger it's dead.
