Is it just me or the Forked Hatchet is one of the best weapons?

I just killed Radahn at lvl 75 with a Forked Hatchet +14 and a Brass Shield. Took me like 5 or 6 tries to determine which moves gave me an opening to rush and hit his legs. The fast swing + bleed damage really help a lot.

The Axe weapon class was buffed in the latest patch to have faster attacks. IIRC, it's only one frame faster. But given that the Forked Hatchet already had the "fast axe" moveset, it's a very potent change.

Yes, feels quite strong. I think Im going to attempt to complete my first game with the Forket Hatchet and the Brass Shield as main weapons. I mean i've been using them all game long but I thought I may have to change it going into the endgame. Seems not the case.

And then I will go bonkers with some other weird weapon in the NG+
