Glowing button in Belurat Gaol, can't find any information about it on the wiki

What is it for? On a platform as you jump off the hanging pot that lifts you up, just before the Greatjar helmet.

That's weird that that would be its purpose. I don't understand why there would need to be a button for the lift there. There is no reason to go back down that direction and you can continue forward to loop around back where you came easy enough. Literally every other area in the game forces you to press forward in a situation like that.

going through with a helper and they went down without waiting for you

if you ever, in any situation, wonder why something exists just think to yourself "i bet someone is dumb enough to screw this up".

same goes for a lot of government regulations. we have lots of people that complain that the epa drives up costs of operation for businesses and should be eliminated but you have to remember, at one point in time we had rivers literally on fire.

The thing is, these games don't typically give you this escape option. And even if another player went up without you, or you accidentally fall down onto the lower platform that they put there for no reason (like I did thinking there'd be a secret there) the pot lift resets itself. That button serves essentially zero purpose and besides that, is designed significantly different than any other lift button. Why did they make it glow all mystically and ♥♥♥♥? I was fully expecting it to be part of a future questline or another one of those pose puzzles.
