that said: a)thats just a ban, and b)no, it doesn't matter if you only use seamless anyway.
Seamless is the definitive Elden Ring experience. That they are keeping PvP instead of integrating Seamless' features(they've done this in the past with other mods, boss rush for example in Sekiro became the Gauntlets) shows their priorities are eschewed towards a hypothetical middle-ground between PvP and PvE players;
In reality, most people play solo, fewer in co-op, and fewest in PvP. PvP = entering ganks.
They should remove random PvP/invasions from the game as it is, and allow the player to opt in through menus how they wish to interact with the invasion system. Tailor preferences on an individual basis.
Without control over the system, it's being overlooked for a mod that removes it entirely.
