Seamless Co-Op
How many of you play this mod? Since they added the invasion option, it seems that the number of players on Steam has decreased. If so, what password do you use to play together?:praisesun:

I love the mod, It works very well. You might run into a couple of issues, but for the most part it feels like it came with the game.

yeah it's really good especially with friends cause it makes it a true multiplayer and if you are worried about the invasions you can turn it off in the file settings for the mod

So as of 2000 20 Aug 2024 the mod has resulted in a softban for 180 days as it has modified the game files, no idea what that means as i dont go invading others. been using seamless co-op to play with some friends every now and again.

does softban matter at all, if we use Seamless Co-Op

the mod itself doesn't cause bans, so they did something to cause it beyond that, i have been using the mod since release and going back and forth between base and modded with no complications.

that said: a)thats just a ban, and b)no, it doesn't matter if you only use seamless anyway.

nope :) only if you pvp, which is a bad idea. The netcode reflects 2008 coding techniques/habits and still relies on a technically unsecured type of connection to work.

Seamless is the definitive Elden Ring experience. That they are keeping PvP instead of integrating Seamless' features(they've done this in the past with other mods, boss rush for example in Sekiro became the Gauntlets) shows their priorities are eschewed towards a hypothetical middle-ground between PvP and PvE players;

In reality, most people play solo, fewer in co-op, and fewest in PvP. PvP = entering ganks.

They should remove random PvP/invasions from the game as it is, and allow the player to opt in through menus how they wish to interact with the invasion system. Tailor preferences on an individual basis.

Without control over the system, it's being overlooked for a mod that removes it entirely.

That's not particularly due to Seamless. People have played the DLC to their hearts content and moved on to other games especially with there not being much to do after completion.
