No liurnia deathbird... Just an invasion?!?!?!?!?

Was playing with a friend. We were in his world (i was cooperator). We were walking past where deathbird should spawn when suddenly, we were instead invaded. This did not seem to be an npc and we can't remember the name, but the host did in fact get the deathbird reward from winning the fight. Is this a known issue? Can't find online!!!!

Yes. Was it nighttime? If not, then yeah, this has indeed happened to me very rarely across thousands of hours of PvP in the Souls series.

Sometimes, the invader inherits some values meant to be applied to an NPC entity. This occurs due to programming oversights and glitchy internet interactions.

I believe it was night time in hosts game. Still, was weird trying to fight the deathbird later to realize that the game considered that pvp fight the deathbird. It would not spawn the fight and he DID get the deathbird gear (some sword amulet I forget which one)
