what early weapons or ashes/skill are op for pve?

i know that blasphemous blade, darkmoon gs and moghs spear are op but they are end-game weapons... i want something that you can get relatively early-game to use while you work up towards the end-game

I'm going to assume early game means anything you don't have to kill a major boss or notable enemy (Night Riders, Tree sentinels, Lions, ect) to get. In that light, Winged Scythe or the Treespear is fantastic for Faith builds. Uchigatana and Twinblade are great for Dex fighters, and there's a reason aside from playing Guts from Berserk that STR builds go after the Greatsword first.

None of these weapons ask more of you than getting on Torrent and riding over to pick them up, maybe dodging a few enemies along the way. They'll all carry you well into Altus and Leyndell by themselves, at which point you'll be able to get debatably better replacements for each catagory.

If you like collossals you can buy the zweihander from the merchant at the Weeping Peninsula. Put the ash of war warcry on it which you can buy from Bernahl in Limgrave and get the Roar Medallion from the mine at Agheel Lake. (Don´t forget to twohand the sword for the altered moveset of warcry)

Also while there grab the AOW Golden Vow which you get from the mounted knight near Bernahls Hut and put it on a dagger for offense and defense buff.

Once you have beaten Margit grab and offhand the Highland Axe which you find in Stormveil Castle and you´ll be already doing a lot of damage since it also buffs your roar attacks.

Since you´ll be using mainly charged heavy attacks you can also equip the axe talisman that you can easily get right at the start at the mistwood ruins and you´ll be flattening pretty much everything in your way and win almost all trades thanks to a filthy amount of hyperarmor on your warcry heavy attacks.

If you want to minmax for damage you can swap over to the guts greatsword which you can find in caelid and run it with the same setup for even more insanity though this thing is very heavy and doesn´t have a charged stab like the zweihander that btw can be even further enhanced with the spear talisman.

Death's Poker really easy to get if you cheese the death bird. Invest in INT and get any staff for long range spell. The easiest play thru I did was with that weapon and you can get it right at the beginning of the game

Death's poker. Get a bow and some arrows and kill the Death Rite Bird in Caelid from the hollowed out section of shrooms above him, lure him off the edge or get some holy pots.
