after getting one myself and playing around with upgrades/affinities, it's not that much better than Falchion/Grossmesser/Shamshir

And now the skelly has just dropped 2 in 1 go rofl. I now have 3 after all this time. Jesus. Yeah I'm comparing everything, got 2 beastman, 2 scav, 2 twin and now 2 bandit. Want to see which ones I prefer to take into DLC

Honestly, I cannot fathom farming something 1.5% chance of dropping just to end up using the same weapon as 99% of people.

Make a poleblade build dude, it's still bleed and it's so much cooler

That weapon doesn't synergize well with builds under level 170 or so. Lots of dex and arcane needed and the split damage hardly adds much that a strength build can't get with Fire Flamberge/Uchi/Nagakiba/Forked Hatchet/Omen Cleaver etc. - also it's fair to assume things including Messmer will be fire-resistant in the DLC

Well, people change their minds all the time. It might be wasted time, but you can't find out that it's for you or that specific build until you try it. The poleblade being a somber weapon unlike something like bandit curved swords means you're stuck with that AoW and won't be able to change it if you don't like it.

Bandits curved swords are very slept on, dual wield power stance is goated especially if you add bleed affinity. They are definitely a good choice of "sidearm" for magic casters too.

I got 2 myself. I forget where. some grace site that's inside one of those chapels that has a skeleton walking around just beside it.

Kinda wish I could see how well bleed worked on them before powerstance bleed got nerfed.
