OH BOY DO I HAVE A NEW FOUND HATRED FOR EASY ANTI CHEAT NOW.
I started a new discussion on steam linking this one with an easier to find title IMO
Hey, can you add me and send that to Steam's DM, or better send to here, hope if it is really better, it would be better for everyone of us
I can't seem to find the other EAC exe "launch_protected_game.exe", and the game doesn't save the CPU Affinity, any clue on how to fix it? Or maybe it has another name now
EDIT: Just found it, it's called start_protected_game.exe" but it gives problems with permissions
EDIT2: The game crashes when it does change, so RIP. Until fix we can't play online
Have you applied the changes to both processes? If you disabled EAC in the past make sure that the affinity set for the game is the same as the ones for the EAC processes. Also, make sure that all steam processes are NOT using any affinities different from the default aka make sure steam is set to use all CPUs, as the game will crash otherwise. On my machine the actual game process doesn't show any changes in affinity as well but i DID see a performance increase so take that as you will
Changing priority or affinity on easyanticheat_eso.exe seems to have no bearing on performance whatsoever, which i supported by the fact that eldenring.exe doesnt inheret the rules applied to easyanticheat_eso.exe, but it does inheret the rules applied to start_protected_game.exe (shortly before closing, that is).
