Suggestions for a balanced DLC build?
Ok, so this is the situation:
I wanted to create a new character for the upcoming DLC.
Since I am a certified Ranni Simp, I ,of course, did her questline and got the Darkmoon Greatsword since it looks and feels amazing.
Naturally, I wanted to make a build around it (Frost/Darkmoon knight) but apparentely I overdid it with my leveling.......I am currently lvl 155 and decimate main story bosses like CaseOh decimates McDonalds.
While I would be fine with that (since I've beaten ER like 4 times by now), it is more than unpleasant when thinking about the DLC.
I REALLY don't want to go in there and wipe the floor with everyone, I want to experience the bosses freshly, I want them to curbstomp me in order for me to learn their movesets like the first time playing ER.

So my question:
Do some people here have some BALANCED suggestion for a fun and viable build for a lvl 100-120 character?
My plan would be to respec my character and put all leftover levels I had after 120 into something stupid like faith, something I've never used/needed.

The more detailed the better, since I have most of the mainline talisman and armor/weapons and what I don't have, I can get :)

Thanks for any good suggestions :D

150 is fine. YouTubers who got to play for 3 hours were given premade 150 characters. I saw an article say 120-150.

why use a base game build when dlc adds so many new weapon types? 8 new weapon types so you could use a new weapon type for each major boss. I'm sure there are new frost spells too.

I don't think the levels matter that much dude

The most balanced build would probably be using a normal greatsword with an ash of war like chilling mist

Who in the world is putting chilling mist on a greatsword?

From what I've seen the DLC has it's own leveling system so i imagine your character level won't change much in the way of difficulty.

idk I was just thinking of ashes of war that aren't too strong, I usually use lion's claw

Ranni Simp build coming in ho--- chill.

Str build

60Vig/base Mnd/40End/80Str
Or
60Vig/base Mnd/40End/ some mix of str/dex/int to satisfy you

All Crimson flasks, 1 cerulean

Chilling Mist - Cold Iron Greatsword
Ice Spear - Cold Iron Spear
Carian Retaliation - Cold Black Leather Shield
Raging Wolf Set

Carian Filigreed Crest
Ancestral Spirit Horn
(optional) Dragon Greatshield Talisman
(optional) Crimson Amber Talisman +2

It plays really nicely, basic all around but decent, excels at overworld exploration.

I hope you know that chilling mist and ice spear are changing the scaling to int. So going 80 str and no int will be suboptimal.

First off, thanks to all for the input, maybe I am not THAT overleveled, but I do need to respec anyway.
Why you may ask?

That is why.
IF the difficulty/strenght of the enemies are on Farum Azula level, then I need to change my stats because right now, I am almost one shotting normal/stronger standard enemies and only needed like 6-8 charged speelshots from the Darkmoon greatsword to utterly violate Malekith.
While the powertrip is fun, I do want a challenge :)

Edit: ALSO, you don't need to think about a frost build in general, I am fine with any build as long as it is fun, frostbite is just my personal to go status :)

lv 155 is more than enough to have the stat that you need.
you can have 60 vigor, 40 mind(if you want), 30 stamina, the rest is the main stat you need. this is why sometime i think 150 feels bloated.

Go pure melee strength 2 hand bonk/colossal sword build R1/R2 everything with a buffing ash of war. 100% viable while having to learn movesets of bosses

Edit- Talismans would probably be Erdtree's Favor, Dragonshield Talisman, Axe Talisman, Great Jar. Highest poise armor you can wear while looking good ofc. This is a good balance of defense/weight/offense and won't exactly overpower everything.

That is actually a good point, but then I need to choose what weapon type/Magic I wanne go.

That was actually my plan, but then I wanted to equip the Darkmoon Greatsword and use the ranni great moon magic (which needs INT 68) and before I knew it, I was way too high leveld ^^"
