late game elden ring
is it just me or is the late game just such a drag? ive been struggling to bring myself to play it just cause of how much disinterest i have in it. doesnt help that the boss i have to come back to is malenia. the snowfields and melenia's tree just arent really that interesting or fun to play in and i dont really think the last area after this is gonna change it. have i got bored of elden ring after 170 hours in or is this just a... bad part of the game? or atleast a boring one?

want to beat this game so i can play the dlc and finally play some other souls-likes without feel guilt of not beating this one

The snowfields are crap, yes, but idk how you dont like the tree and the underlying city, its so intricate there and has a million nooks and crannys

The difficulty spike in consecrated snowfield/mohg/haligtree areas are quite obvious. Almost if they were made to prepare players for the difficulty of DLC.

Almost like its not a weak fanboy's excuse for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ balance in ER, but a deliberate action by mastermind myazaki to prepare playerbase for DLC

whatever it is it's still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ really good...

Unless, of course, skill issue

the bosses are cool but yeah the areas are worse than the others because they don't really introduce anything new when it comes to enemies

If you are bored from the game just play something else. Realize that you are struggling from bad case of fear of missing out.

fromsoft is known for rubbish late/endgame sections, with the exception of DS3 and sekiro

the irony of you getting jester awarded.. this fan base is cancer
Are you also a poor victim of Elden Ring fanboys?

late game is just defined by what you have unlocked, leveled, and built. people have beat the game and are under level 100, defined as early to mid game. haligtree is a supposed to be late game area, tons of dangerous enemies, high health on enemies, and tons OF enemies.

there is no area after it, unless you mean farum azula and the fire giant.
farum azula might respark you. haligtree and farum are most players favorite areas. i wouldnt say eldenring lacks endgame when it has a very distinct part of whats endgame areas, and lore involved with it, even reshaping the open world. haligtree doesnt have new enemies, farum does. actually its FILLED with new enemies.

And Bloodborne. And DS2 and DS1 and Demon's Souls. Oh, and ELDEN RING too.

Burnout is real. Take a break. The game isn’t going away. Hell, I took an entire year off about 70% through the game. Came back last summer fresh, picked right up with my save and finished up within a couple weeks, including Malenia (bear in mind she is optional - you don’t HAVE to beat her). I had so much fun, I rolled right into a NG+ save and did it all again. Put the game aside last August and hadn’t touched it until a few weeks ago when I decided to get ready for the DLC. I started a NG+2 run, beat Radahn and Mohg and now just waiting for Thursday.

But there’s also no shame in just setting things aside and never coming back. Not all games appeal to all people and sometimes interest just wanes over time. So chuck it, if you want. There are a million games you can play and life’s too short to stick through something you’re just not enjoying.

more or less, you can meet almost every enemy there before you enter farum azula but they are either bosses or very few (like the one dragon knight in stormveil)

the opposite, i find snow area and after the best parts of the game, the worst areas are altus plateu and liurnia imo
