Unfortunately there are sadist invaders that cheat in 4 talisman slots, late game items and weapons, and unlimited consumables just so they can grief new players...

You have some options, though. There's an item you can use to call in "hunters" to fight the invader, there's seamless coop mod which is prob what you're looking for, or you can recruit bodygaurds from the forum to join you and fight invaders.
