The game won't launch anymore - help please
Hey,

I re-downloaded the game to kill a few things I missed and prepare for the DLC.
However, when I get to about 80% of the loading screen, the loading process stops and my game crashes. If I check the Task Manager, Elden Ring is marked as "Suspended".
I tried solving it by checking commonly done actions:
- I verified game files integrity (434/434 successfully validated)

- I updated Windows and restarted my computer
- I checked my GPU Drivers; they are up to date
- I did a clean slate installation and removed local files
- I run the game as administrator
- I turned off ray tracing

Nothing seems to work. Any idea on how to solve that?
The only "questionable" things I have done in the past are:
1. Play seamless coop (so modded) but the issues persist after a clean installation and no more seamless
2. Use the debugger to revive some bosses (namely Malenia which I was trying to no-hit)

Any help would be REALLY appreciated.

(My computer had no issues running the game in the past, I am using Windows 10 Home on an i7-11700K with a RTX 3070)

Note: My game also crashes on the "Create Character" screen when making a new savefile, after choosing my class[the screen on which you select your Body type, name, etc]

I don't know if this is your situation but I had an issue when I was trying to launch the game a while back and it wouldn't make it to the loading screen when I was modding. I had to manually go into my files and delete the games files off my computer completely, then re-install the game without mods, it did work. All my characters were still there and I didn't lose any progress that I can remember, though I won't guarantee you won't.

Try this method :-

Go into Steam > Right click Elden Ring and select Properties > At the bottom where it says Launch Options add:

/nolightfx

AND

Uncheck Enable the Steam Overlay

What fixed it for me was repairing the 2015-2022 Microsoft Visual C+++. LOL.
