The animation uses two-hands.. so i figured it treated the attack as a 2-handed stance.
You can do 4 attacks on horse (with melee weapon that's it), light attack left/right and heavy attack left/right - that substitutes your R1,L1,R2,L2 when you are on foot.
"Stance change" is only possible if you dismount briefly, but given that horse is PVE-only it does not seem to be much of a limitation. Not that I would be against them changing that and give an option, just pointing out the minor return on it.
if they wanted to handicap 2h weapons, they could have just said that you can't 2h on Torrent, period. otherwise, you would expect to not have the function impeded if you swap to a spell or bow and want to swap back
Got it, so just mount when you're in 2 handed stance and that's it?
When you are unmounted, yes.
When you are on the mount you cannot switch to 2-handed stance. You can't only use it, while mounted, if you got on horseback when you were in 2 handed stance.
The issue is that if you weapon swap (say switch to casting) while mounted, then it will switch to one handed stance and you cannot swap back to 2 handed unless you dismount.
