I've been getting my students to teach me slang in exchange for relatively obscure vocabulary words.

The one that really threw them, evidently, was "unmew," which means "to set free/release." One of my kids told me I wasn't allowed to use "mew," because instead of being an onomatopoeia for the noise a cat makes, these kids use it to mean tilting your head to the side to emphasize your jawline, and then running a finger along said jawline, and I am so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ old.

While I'd prefer more openworld games like Elden Ring over more linear worlds they've made in the past, their games are great regardless. Even Armoured Core 6, nothing like any of their other games, was one of the most enjoyable games I've played in years.

This does seem like their Magnum Opus but at the same time, Miyazaki shows absolutely no signs of slowing down. I just hope he can find someone to entrust Fromsoft too so they don't go the path of every other major game studio.

I still think bloodborne is my most fun fromsoft game so.... i wouldn't mind them going back to linear. I think this game being open world didn't add to my enjoyment of it at all.
