How many times do you need to be told. I enjoy doing co-op and helping people out but lord give me strength; help me to help you, LEVEL. VIGOR. Its just CONSTANT vigor checks. I just saw a host die in one combo and the total HP he had was EIGHT HUNDRED. EIGHT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HUNDRED. THIS WAS IN THE CONSECRATED SNOWFIELD. AAAAGHHHHH

You'd think but I don't think its working. Look I get the "Just don't get hit" argument for PVE at least. I still think it only applies to a very small minority of players, very few are good enough to play that way and actually have fun, that said its still just PVE, do what you want just don't complain. But in PVP its NON-NEGOTIABLE. You WILL BE VIGOR CHECKED and it actually effects the phantoms who are trying to help you. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ waste of time.

Early game, most of your damage will come from upgrading your weapons. So keep your vigor high.

Exactly there's no point in the entire game in which you shouldn't be keeping vigor 3 to 4 levels higher than you're next main stat.

With how much a single hit hurts you in the late game, it feels almost pointless to do. "Oh I can be one shot or two shot. What a difference."

60 vigor + the strongest physical/elemental resist consumables/spells is pretty much a must for endgame. Don't suffer needlessly by skimping out on vigor and buffs. Even those albinauric archers take 5-6 hits to kill me with my tank setup.

Yeah its a big difference actually, because with two shot you can always recover if ur not panic rolling, one shot ur just getting sent to the loading screen with no way of continuing the fight without restarting it completely.

Im not sure if there is anything apart from gravity or the death effect that can 1 shot you if you have 60 vigor? Im not even sure if anything still qualifies as a 2 shot

I agree Vigor is essential and makes combat much easier.

But there are people who want to squeeze as much damage out of their build as possible
and anything not contributing to more damage is wasted stat/equipment slot for them.

As a Sunbro you need to have patience and adapt to situation best you can.

Posting about it here will not change how hosts play.
But it can be helpful for venting purposes I suppose.

any good build starts with 60 vigor

NG+7 and beyond with base vigor if you ever want to feel the rush of surviving a pack of wild dogs.
