he should be easy, especially if your around level 130-150 which is reccomended for the DLC

Use the right tear in your potion to avoid nihil would be a great step. For second phase you need high fire resistance

I think, robustness (from armor, talismans, etc.) is also good against bleed buildup.

I'm gonna share what I've been up to; a bit of a training regiment.
First I waltzed in there but as soon as I got that fog, I hit the stop watch on my phone. He and I danced ( I'm role playing Elsa, it was beautiful ) and with dodging only because I'm a dex build I lasted 43 seconds. But! I took notes. He often combos in threes and behind the back is where it's safe with the claws etc etc.

And I went again. And again and again. I ended up putting on heavy armor to tank hits a bit better but after a dozen or so runs I'm back to light weight. A dozen or so more I stopped using the stop watch and started attacking but limited. Roll three times, attack once. And I go on and on and now I'm practicing phase 2, every time.

I think the goal of surviving as long as possible instead of ending him as soon as possible also helps with focus and motivation.

Side note: I was curious how it would be with the mimic tear and having to dodge less attacks, I melted him. My goals now are to do a no-hit phase 1 and solo defeat.

then stop complaining and learn his moves. Mohg's 'trick' is that he often follows his attacks with a 3rd attack after waiting for a small moment. And the throwing blood is only meant to scare you with camera shakes. It does no damage and only causes bleed buildup.

This isn't right. If I don't dodge blood it hurts.

nothing wrong with not wanting to use something. my whip guy uses a summon but my sword and shield guy doesn't because i find it better to have the focus on me

atleast you can fight him again, literally 2 weeks before shadow of the erdtree was announced i started my NG+ and now im a bit in a hurry, i shouldve backed it up damned.
