never preorder
wait for sale if short on money
If that doesn't matter to you, sale.
With the DLC coming out I imagine a sale (or atleast a good one) won't be coming for a while.
That usually happens when the DLC is first announced and i'm sure Elden Ring did do a sale when SOTE got it's first trailer but I could be mistaken.
Watch gameplay.
The things the soulsgames do to set themselves apart is:
-Combat is pretty difficult simple, but difficult.
-Story is very obscure if you're looking for a story you can understand... you won't find it here unless you look really hard and even then.
- This game doesn't care if you miss out, you can easily miss out on quests and items permanently if you don't pay attention in fact if you are going in blind the likely hood of completing most of the quests is basically 0 unless you are really attentive.
- This game won't tell you where to go as much as most games, you'll get an icon at the destination and that is about it, sometimes not even that.
If that sounds like fun then you'll most likely enjoy ELDEN RING.
