why do you want to see more frames your eyes can not see?

It blows my mind that this argument is still being said to this day. 🤣

Ignorance is bliss though, I get it. Get used to high refresh rate gameplay and going back to 60fps starts looking like a flip-book animation. Motion blur helps though. The only time I use motion blur settings is in restricted low fps/hz situations like these.

I wish they would have at least made the cap 90fps for PC though. 90 is the new 60 to my eyes. I'd prefer more, but 90 still looks pretty fluid while not breaking Fromsoft's game engine's physics (as I found out via modding Ds3's framerate).

whether they can see every frame is a separate argument. but the human eye can 100% for sure distinguish smoother visuals and motion above 60 fps all the way up to 144-200+ at which point it starts to diminish pretty heavily

I don't see the difference, but I do feel it. Jumping from 60 Hz/FPS to 144 Hz/FPS in CS:GO was such a "wow" effect to me when I moved the mouse/camera for the first time after changing refresh rate. The difference clearly is there. Elden Ring is not first person shooter though, so FPS is not a big deal.

Funny enough to feel that difference you will need eyeballs to stream info to brains. Maybe my english isn’t good enough for technical terms and i just don’t understand what “see” means
