you know not everybody has good internet? xD also it depends on the countries and locations where people come from you get connected to people where a connection is possible i doubt that the game checks for how good the ping is

think of it as a blackbox that over the course of a few seconds slowly increases the ping by delaying the data transfer. in the 2000s they often just jumped from 0 to XXX ping which created bugs as the new data would overlap with the old data, which would give away the lag switch, but cheaters have learned to hide their mischiv. By slowly upping and slowly decreasing the delay its not possible to visually distinguish between a lag switch and increased latency.

i do not have any interest in helping you to find suitable software. Im sure some people will use it, how infested the scene is can just be speculated as a lot will not be dumb enough to reveal themselves.

Whatever, the actual issue is that it creates invincability with rolls, which is something FROM can solve. It might be impossible for FROM to prevent people from lag switching but they sure as hell can lower the impact it has.
