Melina was a garbage design character.

Like she could of easily just not been in the game she has almost no impact on the story shes just there for exposition, AKA lazy writing.
I didn't need a character telling me her opinion in any other game and after you frenzy flame she threatens you and you don't get even get to kill her.
So garbage.

Proving my point she's a garbage character who isn't needed, I don't need my hand held in my souls game.

One of the biggest issues of ER is NPCs are like bad roleplayers/dnders who just make up new rules on the fly and can't be killed, mainly ranni and Melina.

You killed the Elden beast yet some how Melina's gonna kill you with a the d E a TH RuNe.

♥♥♥♥ me it's cringe.

You know it'll be cool if you could choose not use Melina and still play through the game but no they literally force your hand.

May i suggest you to replace the thread title with "They just copy and pasted Dark Souls history in Elden Ring". That way you will connect better with the thread readers letting them know you are sharing your negative opinion about the whole game (once again thanks for that) history and not focusing in a single event or character.

Erm...every character does that? She's not an outside character looking in; she's part of the game you're saying she's speaking in.

You could just quickly tap A and speed through the convo. Stuff like this is best suited for your diary.
