Melina was a garbage design character.

Like she could of easily just not been in the game she has almost no impact on the story shes just there for exposition, AKA lazy writing.
I didn't need a character telling me her opinion in any other game and after you frenzy flame she threatens you and you don't get even get to kill her.
So garbage.

Or get a extra secret ending where you use the golden needle meaning she is still alive and you become Elden Lord. Sometimes i really do wish there was a NG+ or maybe a mod one day where we get a real finger maiden. Even if it was to have a Finger Maiden Puppet permanently following us that gets resummoned/healed at grace.

Honestly i agree. it would have been nice if the game made her appear at least when i had enough runes to level up. So maybe i might miss her after the Tree top event and I level alone. Or have you maybe make comments about how I'm ready/not ready for a fight so i have some clue when I'm in proper level range of a area.

It might have been cool if she had more lines that dealt with the area or up and coming events as well. Maybe she could have told me about storm vale or the golden city. Like she was guiding me through the lands between. No random things you need to watch a you tube video to understand because the lines are intended to be played in a order when the game is not.

Honestly i can understand why people loose it over the Fire keeper in DS3.

YEA but Millicent does have her own little story and because she is the spirit tuner unlike 90% of the cast she doesn't end up dead. and Ranni is at least flushed out enough to get attached to and does have some interesting events going on around her.

Mean while i myself had a thing for Rya just because she is one of the sweetest characters in the game and is still kinda cute at a snake even.
