Yeah Greatsword is good and as soon as you can get a 2nd colossal sword, you'll be rolling over everything.

I just finished a NG+ run with the Greatsword and Grafted Blade Greatsword, and the only boss who were remotly challenging (surviving the 1st encounter) were Malenia and the last boss.

Get Bloody Slash from Fort Height and give any sword-like weapon Arc scaling.
Alternatively, head on over to Liurnia, cheese phantom Loretta with that one glitch you can find on youtube, and buy the funny axe from Pidia, whom you can also find on youtube.

The axe has A in arcane scaling out the box, and can be easily upgraded to S scaling. Takes exceptionally well to greases, too.

also don't use Reduvia, daggers SUCK and i HATE THEM and because i hate them you should also hate them.

The Great Knife is awesome once you can give it an Occult infusion. If you grab Poison Mist or Bloody Slash you'll be good.
