Not seeing any real build to it. Fought 8 or 9 different invaders in the span of 1 hour. All of them lightly armored with absurdly high defense & hp, as well as loads of consumables. When the pattern is this consistent I can only smell trouble.
These invaders likely stack the hell out of their health stat, as its the smartest thing to do.
They probably have higher tier rings on to that can boost their stats or give them a big mitigation/health bump. They are fighting low levels so they don't need insanely high damage to do good damage. They can also be 2handing weapons to hit the strength requirements as 2handing it gives you a boost to strength.
They are skilled invaders making the absolute most of every stat, weapon, ring, consumable to minmax their build, and you can't really blame them sense they are going to be out numbered and getting ganged up on in EVERY SINGLE invasion.
they are fighting low levels
they are skilled invaders
Pick one.
FYI you can unlock 4 talisman slots at low level and use them + wondrous to reach stat checks for spells or weapons so you can pump all your stat points into vigor. You can then use stuff like boiled crab meat to reach high defenses.
If you're going to co-op at low levels, you need to gear up the same and be prepared to fight a lot of try-hards. Once you realise most of these players use the level range as a crutch, you'll stomp them almost every time.
This has been my experience playing low-level co-op since Dark Souls: PTDE.
You? Meaning everyone who is reading this? Or, players who already have a proficiency at FromSoft games which new players do not have?
Can you give an example (of a game path) that doesn't involve new players beating bosses that are far beyond their ability, in order to obtain 4 talisman slots? If not, this is the domain of twinkers, who obtain later items and skills and then return to low levels. Isn't it?
Typical carebear. Low levels offer by far the most accessible and reliable content for invasions.
Explain how it is irrelevant? Or answer the former question.
As per usual, an arrogant FromSoft player assumes that if anyone has any complaints about the conduct of other players (eg. twinks) they must be a new player who is struggling at the game and requires coop help.
CLOWN!
I already finished DS1, 2, 3 and Elden Ring. All achievements, except for DS2 - which I couldn't be bothered with yet, as it's fugly.
Explain how new players can get 4 talisman slots at low level to compete with twink invaders with the same?
two words: overleveled phantoms.
they're the reason many twinks super-optimize their builds. but there's also a lot of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ among them too, for sure (I mean twinks, like the ones who use poison + scarlet rot rapiers).
anyway, OL phantoms are how around 50% of low level hosts defend themselves against twinks.
my and my brother noticed this as well.. fortunately blue phantoms can also be summoned at absurdly high stats effectively making it 3 vs 1
maybe this was a design change on purpose or maybe the bug
could also be a way they are exploiting the matchmaking... I mean still when I play ds3 people are intent on hacking tf out of that game and getting you banned
I think you know that I was asking how a new player could obtain those talisman slots themselves in order to compete with a similarly equipped and more skilled invader. The fact that OL phantoms may represent a balance issue is another complaint entirely.
