Are these spells any good?
I'm looking at a caster now. Are these spells any good?
Glintstone stars (feels like a slightly more expensive pebble)
Crystal Barrage
Crystal Burst (slow casting time, low damage)
Early game spells that seem better are pebble, carian slicer and then glintstone Arc for its aoe.
Glintblade Phalanx - in what PvE situations would I use this? I know while dodging having this up is nice before a fight, but other than that i dont really use it. Feels like a waste of a memory slot.

Pebble is the meta. I wouldn't even bother with the other ones you listed.

There is one you didnt menioned. Shattering crystal, that combined with two crystal staves+godfrey icon+massgrave talisman can be considered the closest thing Elden Ring have acting as a shotgun.

It just destroys anything near you, specially big things.

In PVE you can just take a magic infused longsword and smash the PVE. Who cares about the quality of weapons/spells in PVE?

apparently I do because I'm asking about PVE specifically.

To be honest, there are just so many spells and incantations in this game that you are best off experimenting: it doesn't cost anything to memorize a spell and while some are considered "stronger" than others, you can have a lot of fun with almost any of them. For myself, I prefer the faith incantations.

yeah I've tested these spells out on a few things for myself.

I was mostly checking to see if the community had some feedback on these spells. You know, if they used them in game and which ones out of these they find useful. but thanks for your input.

I'll check out shattering crystal when I come across it. And that combo sounds useful I'll try that as well.

It got buffed in the previous patch (not the colisseum one). The idea is Lusat or even Prince of death (stat hungry but if you have the int/fai values best staff of the game) in one hand and a crystalan staff in the other for the % bonus damage.

A charged shattering crystal wll pretty much murder anything. with the proper stats and gear.

Cannon of Haima is a bit later in the game, but it's an absolute beast if you learn to manually aim it - long range and can hit enemies without direct line of sight since it's arced, and when fully charged it's both powerful and has a big area of effect that sends smaller enemies flying. When you find it I strongly recommend trying it out!

The Glintstone Pebble ASH OF WAR is also really good - you get the same projectile as the spell, but you can follow it up with a heavy attack to do a special lunge attack that basically is an instantly fully charged heavy attack. Great for finishing enemies off, great when you need to quickly close the distance to an enemy, great when the enemy dodged your spell and you still really want to hit them with something. And best of all, it lets you free up a memory slot for something else.
(If you didn't pick it up already, it's one of the things Rogier sells - if you haven't met him yet he's in the church in Stormveil Castle, which is pretty early in the game)

Other than those two there's also a fun spell a lot of new players use found early in Caelid, where you levitate and launch three rocks. (Blanking on the name atm...)
Easy to hit things with and deals physical damage, so it's a good compliment to your glintstone spells when you fight something magic-resistant.
