Goldmask questline over?

So i reached farum azula, haven't beat Maliketh. Gold mask was at the colosseum, had to go defeat Renala to respec my build so i could cast law of regression on the statue. I went to go see gold mask again and there was Brother Coryim loot on the floor. I shouldn't have burned the Erdtree right?

This happened to me as well in my last playthrough, I forgot about burning the Erdtree will end his quest. You can't get the Golden Order gesture and Goldmask's armor now, he is gone.
Btw: you can cast Law of Regression without to change your stats, there are enough int. increasing items in the game, even my char with only 7 int. can cast it.

Can i still be Elden lord? This is my 3rd playtrough. just this trophy and i get platinum. Bc i don't know what i will repair the elden ring with

well i burned the erdtree and found the item for repair at a goldmask corpse under the colosseum, idk if that helps u? (even with seeing goldmask alive with corhyn in the snow zone after burning eldtree)

Most of the time it's just faster to respect twice than to do a massive fetch quest.

when I got to leyndell I already had enough int-boosting items to get at or above 37 just to cast that spell, and I had like 7 or 8 base int.

twinsage crown: +6
marika's scarseal (since the soreseal is in the haligtree and usually people don't have it yet): +3
stargazer talisman: +5
intelligence-knot physicks tear: +10
grafted blade AoW: +5
Godrick's great rune: +5

total: +34 int.

I didn't have the Marika scarseal so I had +31 which was more than enough.

Yes, you can become Elden Lord without Goldmask's quest. Sitting on the Elden Throne is the default ending. You only need Goldmask for the Age of Order ending, it's not needed for achievements.

Depends on your starting class. When you're playing with only 7 int, you need to get to Haligtree and pick up Marika's Soreseal there.

Oh, I see now. But can you cast the Grafted Blade AoW when you don't hit the swords requirements ? I did it with a low level char. I'll test it when I play next time.

well you have a point. I did have the stats for it, in fact.

you can get up to +22 strength without the grafted blade and you can two-hand it to only need 27 strength. so I guess one could drink the strength-knot physicks tear, equip the omensmirk mask and the starscourge talisman, then activate the AoW and switch headpiece to reach the required int.

edit: actually, I even forgot about the radagon scar/soreseal so you can get up to +27 without the grafted blade. even with just the scarseal and without the omensmirk mask you can get +23 which is surely enough for any starting class to reach 27 STR 👌

I didn't have to go find anything to do it, in my first playthrough. I hardly skipped any dungeon so I had everything I needed. it may be the case for other people too and maybe they just didn't realize they could.
