Just find it silly since he's an easily punishable boss that doesn't have much movement like divine beast or messmer, yet they both have more stance, 120 compared to midra's 80.
This is the only playstyle that trivializes Midra tbh, even shield pokes will have a hard time on him.
Ranged combat against him is tough but occasional Storm Blade AoW hit is helpful to me.
He is also vulnerable to quick weapons like curved swords and rapiers.
he's the most balanced boss in the dlc, I'm glad they didn't go mental like they did with radahn and said ''just give this guy everything and the best poise in the entire game on top of it''
I always route to Midra quite early on since he is fun, but he's just a push over most of the time unless you have the most nonoptimal build against him. He's akin to Morgott where he's a blast to fight (though i do still prefer Morgott) but be it low resistances, health or stance that they just get shat on.
Nah he's not a pushover he's simply well designed and fair, something that bosses like Radahn are lacking which is why so many people hated him.
There's a difference between having to play well to have a chance at winning and having to trial and error until you memorize the boss. Fromsoftware went too much into the second side with some bosses imo. Midra is just one of those more fair designs that they used to have.
I meant ranged as in casting spells, not spamming AoW. If you have scadu and lvl 60+, every boss can be destroyed by any build, even Radahn. Under say lvl 60 or with 0 scadu the game can be hard, or if you only use a certain build like bow build or ranged caster or Idk.
