Shadow of the Erdtree NPC/Story amount ?

Ìf the main game were as long as the DLC would it have more NPC quests and story than the DLC....?
Im asking because the main game is super long but light on NPC/story already, (so i was a bit bored by that) Do you think the DLC is for me??

There is considerably more talking per NPC in the DLC from what I have seen. If that counts as 'story' then yes. Most of Elden Ring's 'story' is in the item descriptions, so if you never look at those, you wont see the story.

SotE has fewer individual NPCs, but they have proportionally greater roles in the story. It's overall not a huge difference from the base game though. Like Gamerzilla said, the item descriptions are where you get a large portion of the lore.
