Which Greatsword is the most powerful in the game?

Among Normals - there's a bunch of contenders.
You can literally never go wrong with Claymore, the thrusts it has were always game carriers.

Iron Greatsword has highest base damage and is probably a STR monster, but is next impossible to acquire... So you might wanna settle for Banished Greatsword, which is basically the 2nd best thing.

No, I don't think so. This is why I never sell stuff lol. There are three options for you to get them now:

1- Play through NG+
2- Have someone trade them to you
3- Use CE to spawn them

For aoe on mobs, nothing beats the Starscourge Greatsword. The Starcaller Cry skill and its followup hit deals with enemies hiding around wall corners. Since the aoe is spherical, it even hits above and below.
